FIELD/S OF EXPERTISE OF THE ORGANIZATION
- Human Resources Development (HRD). These programs aim to strengthen the human resources of the organization and the community through various capability building programs, which include community organizing, leadership-training, planning, seminar and workshops.
- Education and Social Services (ESS). These programs aim to provide access to education, relief and other social services to various communities. It include enhancement of capability of the instructional managers through conduct and facilitation of trainings and capability building seminars.
- Capability Building (CB). These programs focus on skills development necessary for the sustainability of livelihood programs and activities. These include training on entrepreneurial skills and small enterprise development trainings.
- Income and Funds Generation (IFG). These programs aim to generate income and funds for the sustainability of organizational operations. It goes together with the socio-cultural development activities such as conduct of Muslim theatrical presentation and conduct of Islamic arts and cultural exhibits in the campuses.
- Peace Advocacy (PA). This aims to promote peace and harmony between and among Muslims and non-Muslims. It include partnership implementation of the culture of peace program of the United Nations Multi-Donor Program in the Philippines, conduct of human rights training and seminars on conflict resolution.
- Water and Sanitation (WAS). This aim to provide access of safe water supply and improve sanitation to ensure good health and cleanliness to minimize health risk associated with water and lack of sanitation facilities. MYROi has reached the hinterlands of the remotest area of Central Mindanao to contribute to the risk reduction and to facilitate health and sanitation programs in the conflict torn areas.
- Networking. This program promotes smooth relationship, cooperation, and solidarity among Local NGO, INGO, LGU, Government Line Agencies, and Community stakeholders.
- Community Infrastructures Projects. Among the programs in line with this is construction of buildings such as health center, school building renovation, construction of public latrines and deep well and multi purpose centers.
The MYROi is composed of professionals or alumni members and students of heterogeneous ages and field of interests but bound by the common enthusiast to learn Islam and serve the Muslim Ummah and to work for peace and development for the pleasure of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala as the realization of Allah’s trust and mandate to the Muslim believers.
Technical Capability
MYROi has implemented various projects since its birth as a non-government organization, not to mention the numerous activities it has undertaken as a school-based organization at first. With its all professional and service-oriented members from different chapters, MYROi has conducted community organizing, special mentoring classes, youth retreats, trainings and seminars, emergency response and relief assistance, medical mission, leadership and spiritual development activities, cultural awareness and peace advocacy and many others. We have implemented health, water and sanitation projects, culture of peace program, livelihood and enterprise development projects. These we did either solely or as partner with other organizations. MYROi has been a partner of various local, national and international organizations and it is a member of the Mindanao Emergency Response Network (MERN). MYROi has been an active member of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) a member of the UN accredited NGO’s. It also co-implemented the Qurban Project in the Philippines with Muslim Aid-Australia which involved almost a million amounts of funds. Some of the significant projects implemented in the previous years are hereby listed below.
All these projects were successfully implemented and they gained commendation from funding partners, from the LGUs and the communities served.
Financial Capability
As of this time, the organization maintaining its Peso and Dollar Account at Bank of Philippine Island (BPI), Cotabato City Branch. This fund is maintained in a separate account whose official signatories are the president and the treasurer. MYROi has its own financial management system which serve as definitive guide on all the organization’s financial transactions for accounting, auditing and other purposes. It is adopted as basis for fast, secure, economical, cost effective and orderly management of all financial transactions and recording as well as to keep transparency and instill accountability to the officers and members of the organization in all financial transactions of the organization.
Traditionally, our funds come from membership contributions, including members in the overseas, donations from other organizations, income-generating projects and savings from other socio-economic activities.
Core Commitment
MYROi works collectively and invites the rest as stakeholders to help deliver education that inspires in our youth, no matter where they are, the commitment to be agents of change, and more importantly, to be agents of peace in their communities. We believe that there are peaceful ways to peace and that is helping out our people to get freed from the quagmire of poverty and dysfunctional literacy, economic inadequacies and social inequalities brought out by the historical events that made everyone a victim.
